We are a team of dedicated Realtors with 15+ years of combined experience and over 325 satisfied clients in the Grand Rapids area. We have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly in real estate along the way. You can count on us for superior service, up-front answers and professional results. Here is some background on our team so you can get to know us better. "I teach Hunter Safety because it helps show children respect for nature, for private property and for God's creations. In class we show them what sportsmanship is all about, and why you need a personal code of ethics and honor when you are outdoors where no one is looking. Kids need to know how important even the smallest detail is to any undertaking, whether on the range, in the field, or making a major investment like buying a home."
First licensed in 1994, Bob moved to Keller Williams in October 2000 to join its team of agent-partners. An Associate Broker, he is a member of the Agent Leadership Council (ALC), the policy making board for the 120-agent office. He also is on the Professional Standards and Residential MLS committees for the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors. Bob has earned the following designations: e-PRO --- Certified by the National Association of Realtors for providing high quality and innovative on-line real estate services. One of the only 31 in the Grand Rapids market out of 3,200 licensed Realtors ABR ----- Accredited Buyers Representative from the National Association of REALTORS® for excellence in buyer agency. One of only 75 in the Grand Rapids market. CRS ----- Certified Residential Specialist, held by only 2% of all REALTORS® nationwide. One of only 110 in the Grand Rapids market. Bob is active in the community as a Hunter Safety Instructor and board member at the Kent County Conservation League in Ada; an Official Measurer for the Pope & Young Club, Commemorative Bucks of Michigan and National Muzzle-Loading Rifle Association; and an alumni of Leadership of Grand Rapids. He is married to his best-friend and sweetheart, Lisa, and has four children: Brian 25, Kevin 22, Alana 16, and Derek 14. As a family they enjoy the outdoors, watching movies at home, and visiting with friends and relatives. "I enjoy teaching Project Charlie because it is a great way to interact with children at an impressionable stage in their lives. We tell them about what they will encounter once they get to high school -- or even junior high. If I can help steer one child away from the path to drug or alcohol abuse, it's worth every minute of my time in the classroom. I'm convinced not letting drugs and alcohol into their lives enables our children to make better choices and mature faster."
Lisa Joined The Novosad Team in 2003 as a Realtor Associate. Her specialty on The Novosad Team is in working with relocating buyers, especially corporate executives transferring to the area. Lisa's goal is to help them and their families make smooth transitions while locating a home with solid re-sale value. She also has earned her ABR for excellence in buyer agency. Prior to real estate, Lisa had a 16-year career with Knoll Inc., one of the major players in West Michigan's contract office furniture industry. At Knoll, she specialized in project management and for seven years was the company's West Michigan sales representative. She also developed statewide business with county, state and federal agencies and assisted Knoll dealers in building their businesses. Lisa is an active volunteer in the Forest Hills Public Schools with the Project Charlie and Junior Achievement programs. She also is very involved at St. Robert's Catholic Church in Ada. Lisa enjoys entertaining and spending time with family and friends.

Sometimes a real estate agent will walk into a home that is basically attractive, yet communicates the feeling that something is lacking. Then the agent notices that all of the drapes are closed, interior lights are off and there is a lot of overgrown shrubbery blocking the sunlight that might otherwise pour through the windows.
A dark house is not as appealing to most buyers as one that is flooded with light. As a part of your preparations to market your home, try to maximize the light in your home. Make sure that all the windows are clean and the drapes are open when the house is being shown. A fresh coat of light paint can do a lot to brighten up the interior. If your house has very dark paneling, and you do not wish to repaint the walls, you may want to consider adding additional lamps. Your real estate agent may be able to provide other simple and cost-effective ideas about how to maximize your home's appeal.
