Byron Center, Michigan is a community in the center of Byron Township and part of Kent County. This village was organized in 1836. It lies about 14 miles southwest of Grand Rapids and covers an area of five square miles. A popular community for commuters, it’s within commuting distance of Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, and Lansing.
Byron Center is also home to major employers - SpartanNash and the popular outlet shopping center, Tanger Outlets. Surrounded by parks and wildlife, the community is also rich in agriculture and recreational opportunities. Being just a 30 minute drive to the beach, and less than 20 minutes to downtown Grand Rapids and the airport, Byron Center is a great place to live, work and raise a family.
The Byron Center school district educates over 3,000 students each year at six campuses--each staffed with exceptional teachers, administrators, and support staff. They are proud of their education successes and the strong ties they have to the Byron Center community.
