Lowell, Michigan is a community in Kent County, north of Grand Rapids and in the northern area of Lowell Township. This bedroom community offers a vintage small town lifestyle within a 20 minute drive of downtown Grand Rapids.
The community offers four recreational parks plus one park for dogs to exercise and play. Lowell has an active arts council that organizes activities including classes, music and theater events, and special visual arts showings. The Sizzlin’ Summer Concert Series is performed here as well as many other activities. The Western Michigan Bluegrass Festival performs a spring and fall festival each year in Lowell.
The public school district serves around 4,000 students and has six schools which include two high schools, one middle school and three elementary schools. The district has received excellent scores and reviews with 95% of students excelling in reading and math. There is also one Catholic private school available.
